The Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) was developed in 1997 by Gary Craig, inspired by the famous physiologist Dr. Roger Calahan. EFT Is actually a simplification of the TFT method which was developed by Dr. Callahan, a clinical psychologist. Dr. Callahan designed this method to help people who suffered from phobias and anxieties.
According to this approach, the source of the anxiety and depression are negative emotions, which create blockages in the body. The key to removing the blockages is stimulating the energetic channels in the meridians. The method combines psychology with energyhealing according to the principles of Chinese medicine, a kind of acupuncture without needles.
Release of the blockage is done in stages. At the end of the process, the patient checks the intensity of the emotion, and if the emotion is gone – the treatment is complete. If the emotion still exists, after some time the process should be repeated
